About Us

Who we are

Project PHOENIX was started in 2025 by the founder, Roman Anderton. With an idea about wanting to set up a safe supportive service for the neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ communities in Cambridgeshire and West Suffolk. Using the knowledge of the area and the services which already exist and he was a member of, he soon found a ‘gap in the market’ and a business plan to open something which would fill this chasm in support specifically for the adults in these communities as services would often have an upper age limit, leaving young adults alone with no where to go.

Our Values

Our values are embedded in the name PHOENIX.

  • Proud – We are proud of the people we serve.
  • Hopeful – Always have hope of a better tomorrow, for a change in the outside narrative.
  • Out – Whether you are ready to or not, you can be yourself here.
  • Embracing – Our support is universal
  • Neurodiversity – Celebrate our differences together, it makes us who we are.
  • Inclusive – Everyone is welcome in this space
  • eXpressive – Be yourself, through whatever feels right for you.

What we want to achieve

Our long term goals here at Project PHOENIX is to create a safe place that’s open for drop ins, hosting social groups, activism and advocacy, and art classes. We want everything to be included because its invaluable to the communities we serve.
